  • One of these is in almost every house near Christmas
  • The idea of a Christmas tree originated in Germany
  • Evergreen trees are always used

ORNAMENTS

  • These are always on the tree
  • Their shape and color can vary

STAR

  • This is on top of the tree
  • It is meant to represent the star of Bethelem
  • The star can also be replaced by an angel

NATIVITY SCENE

  • This is normally placed outside a house/church
  • It shows Jesus, Mary and Joseph in the stable
  • It may also feature wisemen or animals

MASS

  • People go to mass on Chirstmas Eve or Day
  • The mass is especially joyful
  • There is often a recital of the birth of Jesus

FAMILY

  • Family often comes from all over Christmas
  • Family get together to show love for each other
  • It's one of the few times family gets together

  • People often make ham and roast beef
  • Some people even make cookies
