PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Culture : the behaviors and beliefs characteristic of a particular social, ethnic, or age group. Some customs, traditions that are part followed. Culture to me means some customs, beliefs, or tradition that people believe or follow. What goes into making a culture is • what people do • what people think An example of a conflict that cultures have struggled with in the past that remain relavent today would be what Cesar Chavez faught for. He faught for civil rights of farmers to improve the treatment, pay and the working conditions for farmers. He raised the standards for farmers but they still deal with the same problem to this day. Farmers work long hours, outside in the heat. This remains relavent today. Cesar changed the culture for farming, but a lot of change still needs to happen. Culture research : Japanese culture •kimono •herisen •Origami •chop sticks to eat their food Japanese tea ceremony Bowing is known to be respectful Shoes are not worn inside Before eating a meal, they say" I humbly recieve " They face the challenge of racism, and are mistaken for being from another country. They face the challenge of the tsunami and having the loss of many people. When they feel strongly about something and woukd want them to share it with others. Literary is like life because when you talk to somebody you know how they feel, and when you read something someone wrote it tells you about their charector. Literature maybe has selective wording to respect a certain culture or how they speak. It can also tell you their rituals.
