JOHANN CHRISTOPH FRIEDRICH GUTSMTHS
- Born on August 9,1759 in Quedlinburg, Germany
- Teacher at Schnepfenthal University, taught geography
- Also, taught his students kiesiologyy
- (The study of the human body movement)
- Little did he know, the movements would eventually turn into a new sport
INVENTION OF A NEW SPORT
- The new sport Johann is famous for is gymnastics
- Now people from all over the world do the sport
- Even people from China, Japan, South America, and Russia do gymnastics
- People love the sport now, including me, it's even in the Olympics
- Just because of that dicovery, Johann changed loves, including mine
RANDOM FACTS
- His father died when he was 12 years old
- He worked as a private teacher in high school
- Wrote a book called, Gymnastics for Youth
- Divided the chapters into different sections
- Proper gymnastics, exercises, hands-on-activities, gardening, and social play

- Johann believed that all gymnastics should be done outside
- He also believed that a 7 year old should spend 10 hours a day doing physical activity
- Sadly,as you know Johann died on May 21, 1839 at age 80
- Overall, Johann was a great inventor and changed many lives
