  • Open-minded
  • Flexible

My Weaknesses

  • Assertive
  • Perfectionist
I can be bossy and assertive at times, which can make people dislike me. However, I do my best to avoid ignoring other people's wishes and letting them do what they like. I also spend a long time on things trying to make sure everything is just right. I try my best to let the little things go, but I still have a hard time, especially when it comes to grammar!

Hobbies

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Drawing
  • Hiking
  • Watching anime (Japanese cartoons)
I enjoy reading, writing, drawing, hiking and watching anime. I believe that reading and writing are both valuable skills useful for future success, especially when reading or writing reports or essays. Drawing can also come in handy if my future job requires me to draw diagrams.

Interests

  • Science & math
  • Solving problems
  • Helping people
  • Keeping things organized and clean
I love my science and math courses at school and I do fairly well. I find these subjects very interesting because I like to solve problems. I also enjoy helping people. During the school year I volunteer around the school and help organize student council events.

Industry

  • Medicine
  • Engineering
  • Science
Due to my interest in science and math, as well as my love of helping people, I would love to have a career in medicine. I know that this industry is particularly hard to get in to, and I am also open to a career in engineering or science.

Dream Job

  • Anesthesiologist
I would love to become an anesthesiologist. Anesthesiologists are doctors who administer drugs to keep patients from feeling pain while in surgery. It requires a lot of training to become an anesthesiologist! I believe that my perfectionism can help me in this field because if the drug dosage isn't exactly right, the patient could die. Doing this job, I could incorporate my interests in math and science and help people at the same time.

Pathway

  • University (undergraduate at McMaster)
  • Medical school (Western)
  • Residency
I am planning on going to University, preferably McMaster or Western. My undergraduate will most likely take me 4 years. I hope to graduate with a Bachelor of Science, which will open up other opportunities in case I do not succeed in getting into medical school at Western. If I do get into medical school, I will have to attend for another 4 years before getting my M.D. To become an anesthesiologist I need to be accepted into a 5 year residency program.
