Oedipus have a tragic flaw because when Tiresias told Oedipus that he is the murderer of king Laius, he didn't believe him but he kept accusing or blaming Tiresias not himself.

Oedipus was born in a high position. He didn't live with his real parents but he lived with king Polybus , and also became king of Thebes.

Oedipus suffer more than he deserve because when he was a child, Jocasta and Laius pierced his legs, they were scared of the prophecy.

Oedipus have a reversal fortune because he spent a beautiful moment with his family; But when he come to know he was the murderer and the citizens started to hate him.

Oedipus is not a ordinary person because when Sphinx come to city of Thebes, he solved the riddle He save the citizens and became king,

Themes

you can not change your fate.

suffering can lead a person to commit suicide.

guilt can lead to confess truth.

My personal reflection on "Oedipus the king" was that I really enjoyed reading the ending of the story. When Oedipus finally realized that he was the murderer and tried to punish himself. I feel miserable when he became blind and also lost his throne.
