LINOLEUM RELIEF PRINTMAKING:
Process of designing/carving/producing prints using a linoleum block. "LINOCUTS"

GOUGE:
The carving tool.

BENCH HOOK: A wooden plate with a hooked edge to hold a linocut in place while carving.

PRINT:
The end result of printing a linoleum block with ink on paper.

TEST OR TRIAL PRINT:
A "proof" or beginning print to "test" how the block prints or design looks.

INK:
Ink is not paint. It is thicker and has a slow drying rate. (will wash out of clothes.)

BRAYER:
A roller used to spread printing ink evenly on the linocut before printing.
