MONUMENT

First of all , INQUIRY QUESTION 1 : How is the monument related to Canada ?

.It is located in Canada.
.Group of CANADIANS thought of making it.
.It's designer, Melvin Charney is a Canadian.

Secondly, Inquiry question 2 : Did any famous people visit the monument ?

Nelson Mandela visited the monument to reveal a commemorative plaque honouring John Peters Humphrey on September 24th 1998.President Mandela expressed his desire that the monument "inspire all who see it to join hands in a partnership for world peace,prosperity , and equality.

Thirdly , Inquiry question 3 : Why was the monument created ?

Well ! It was created BECAUSE :
.of ongoing struggles for human rights.
.public art can make a big difference.
.to inspire and remind our leaders.
.teach our children .
.sensitize our visitors.
.play a role in mobilizing citizens to awareness and action.

Last but not least : Inquiry question 4 : How does the monument effect our community/society in a positive way ?
