TRADITIONAL DAKOTA AFTER THE WAR.
After the war many the traditional Dakota were forced off of the land.
38 Dakota men were hanged for there crimes.
The rest of them were sent to a internment camp near Fort Snelling.

- Only about two hundred dakota who helped the settlers got to stay
One man was spared at the last minute from execution. He said that he never killed any man.
His name was Ran with the sound of a Rattle.
Thirty-eight (38) traditional Dakota men were hanged at Mankato on December 26, 1862.
