THE BEGINNING

• The struggle between the USA and USSR
• Started 1947-1991
• Caused because of the extension of Russia in Europe
• The title "cold" is due to the fact their was no physical fighting

CAPITALISM

• Based on individual rights
• Involves trade and industry
• Limits goverment power
• Competition between one another
• Strengthens the power of the people

Communism

• Absences of competition all seen equal
• Common ownership not private
• Example: Marxist seen in the USSR
• Government in charge not the people

U.S foreign

• Soviet made their own nuclear weapons to compete
• U.S tried to prevent communism from spreading to developing nations
• Tried to defend places considering a communist government

KITCHEN DEBATE

• Between Nixon and Khrushchev
• Famous to the Cold War
• Took place during the American National Exhibition in Moscow
• Fought about capitalism and communism
• Took place in the model kitchen set up for the fair
