SAINT ELIZABETH ANN SETON
- She was born in New York City in 1774
- She was born Episcopalian
- She was married the William Seton and they had five children
- She was 19 when she married
- They went to Italy for her husbands illness
In Italy exposed to Catholicism
When her husband died she went back to New York City
She went to Maryland where she established Saint Joseph's Academy which was the first free catholic school in America
She took vows and became known as Mother Seton. She died of tuberculosis and her feast day is January 4.
