Clinical capabilities are the procedures needed to be performed to ensure safety and healthiness before you get on the space craft, during your trip, and after you land back down on Earth.

What are examples of procedures

  • Advanced screening for Pathology
  • Advanced screening for Subclinical Pathology
  • Biomedical monitoring
  • Diagnosis of disease
  • Preventive health care
Some examples of clinical capabilities are: advanced screening for pathology and subclinical pathology, biomedical monitoring, diagnosis of disease, and preventive health care. These procedures make sure that astronauts are healthy and up and running perfectly fine.

What are examples of injuries

  • Back and neck pain
  • Bone fractures
  • Wounds
  • Muscle ligament
  • Tendon injuries
Not only diseases but injuries can occur and someone on board needs to know how to fix them. Some injuries that can occur are: Back and neck pain, bone fractures, wounds, muscle ligament, and tendon injuries. These are just SOME of the injuries that an astronaut can encounter during space flight.

Clinical capabilities insure safety so that diseases will not spread to others or harm the astronauts. Really, diseases in space aren't just harmful to the astronauts but also to you.
