Nike manufactures its shoes in over 800 factories around the world. One of these manufacturing sites is the Chang Shin factory near Jakarta, the capitol of Indonesia. Nike tends to locate its factories in areas of large population and inexpensive labor costs.

Between China, Vietnam, and Indonesia, Nike has an estimated 800,000 employees. It is estimated that 80% of these employees are women between the age of 18 and 24. They make between $150 and $180 a month.

Nike has headquarters in Europe, Asia and North America. Their world headquarters is in Beaverton Oregon.

After the shoes are manufactured they are shipped or flown to Nike's distribution center in Memphis, Tennessee.
