Monarchy

One Ruler, a King. When the king died, his power would go to his Oldest son

Strengths

  • A Monarchy had one Ruler, so there wouldn't be disagreements.
  • It was fair, because the area had voted on the father or Ruler to rule.
  • Since it was father to son, it would be fair.

Weaknesses

  • Since there is one ruler, he might not see all views.
  • The people might not agree on the laws passed.
  • The Son after the King might not be a lawful Ruler.

Oligarchy

Rule of multiple, a few.

Strengths

  • Since there is multiple rulers, there are multiple views
  • There are more opinions, to stop a bad law from being passed

  • The rich gets richer, so the poor gets poorer.
  • Sometimes the wives had to tell them what to do, they might not be lawful
  • They're in charge for being rich, so might not be lawful.

Tyranny

When one person takes power by force

strengths

  • The Son is not likely to gain power.
  • He will have back up by the ones he convinced to get power
  • Good to the poor, too.

weaknesses

  • A Tyrant may not be a lawful Ruler
  • Might not know what he is doing.
  • Has no law or Religion behind him.

democracy

No actual Ruler, Citizens vote.

Strengths

  • Multiple Opinions.
  • Multiple Views.
  • Only men from Athens could vote.
  • Most likely no traitors voting
