TUNISIA'S REVOLUTION
There were many things to start the revolution
The last straw was when a citizen, Muhamed, killed himself
He started the next level of protests against the government in Tunis
The protests forced the President Ben Ali out of office
Ben took refuge in Saudi Arabia

WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW?
In early 2011 the prime minister Ben Ali fled the country
After he fled the citizens began pushing for democracy
Later that year the government changed to a form of democracy
They have a president named Moncef Marzouki
He is not liked by all the citizens but they are pleased that he was elected

PROBLEMS
The country is facing challenges of finding the right type of democracy
It will take time to get the government to find a balance

INVOLVEMENT WITH OTHER COUNTRIES
Tunisia's former president fled Ben Ali to Saudi Aribia
Other Arab countries thought they could follow Tunisia to democracy
The U.S. sent 350 million dollars to get the government started
They sent money because the U.S. wants more democratic countries

The country had a revolution
The people protested against the government because it wasn't fair
The citizens overthrew it which forced them to make a democracy
After the other Arab countries saw what they did they followed
