In the 1300s, the English and the French battled the plague and recurring battle.

Between 1337 and 1453, England and france battled in what is known as the hundred years war

The war began when the french king tried to take the territory claimed by England in southern france.

Joan of arc a peasant girl who had no military training convinced the french prince to let her lead a french army to the city of Orleans, where she lead them to a significant victory over England.

Bt 1453, France had driven England out of France and the war ended.

My reaction
Learning that the French and the English were in a war for 100 years was shocking, because most wars are fought for six or seven years.
