What are the differences between the two symbols?

• The movie clip will appear as only one frame 
• The graphic symbol requires you to add key frames 

What are the differences between the two

Under the graphic symbol tab, you can make it loop, play once, or make it play in the same frame

For movie clips, you can attach action script, enabling you to be able to put it in video games

What does one do that the other cant?

• Movie clips can be put in video games
• Graphic clips can stop and start at different frames

Which one plays when you press command+enter

• If the graphic symbol has no frames, it wont play
• the movie clip will play no matter what 

What do you need to do in order to make the graphic symbol animate?

• It will animate by adding key frames until the end of the animation
