JOB DESCRIPTION: U.S. SENATORS & HOUSE OF REPS.

  • Legislator
  • Representatives of their Constitution
  • Committee members
  • Servants of their constituents
  • Politicians

SENATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 30 years old
  • Citizen for 9 years
  • Live in the state in which they are elected

HOUSE OF REPS. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 25 years old
  • Citizen for at least 7 years
  • Must live in the state from which they're being elected

HOW THE SENATE IS ELECTED

  • Selected by voters in each state during the regular November elections.
  • Only one senator is elected from each state.
  • They serve 6 year terms.

HOW THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IS ELECTED

  • House of Represntatives are voted in by each state.
  • Elections are held the second Tuesday following the first Monday.
  • They serve 2 year terms.

WAYS TO BE FIRED FROM THE SENATE OR HOUSE OF REPS.

  • You can be punished from the senate if you act disorderly.
  • You can be expelled with a 2/3 vote.
  • If you have a bad past, that may count as behaving disorderly.
