contribution to the revolutionary movement: tried to illminate the townshend tea duties but miscalculated and it was only reduced to half which eventually brought on the bodton tea party ultimately leading to the war of independence
social-economic background: Arnold's father did not manage the family's money well. By the time Arnold was a teenager they we're very poor. He was forced to leave school to go find work.
education: did not have much of an education because he dropped out.

contribution to revolutionary movement: originally fought for American independence from the British Empire as a general in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. When obtained command of the American fort at West Point he switched sides.
He was considered to be the best general and most accomplished leader in the Continental Army. Without Arnold's earlier contributions to the American cause, the American Revolution might well have been lost. After he switched sides he became know as a traitor and is remembered throughout history as one.
