ATHENA'S FAMILY

• Athena did not marry. She wanted to remain a maiden
• Athena's parents were Zeus and Metis
• Most of the 12 olympians were her siblings.

Athena was the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy and her symbols were the owl and the olive tree and she claimed a town and called it Athens.

One myth were she was involved was probably her birth. Zeus and Metis had a child but Zeus heard that if she bore a male child he would overthrow Zeus so he swallowed her. Zeus got a headache and Hephaestus cracked open his head and Athena sprang out in full battle armor

As a god she had many different types of powers like shape shifting, she was able to manipulate all types of things. She was also very much known for her wisdom.
