PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The Cicones
Odysseus and his men go here for supplies. While here they attack Cicones and lose men.
Lotus Eaters
Odysseus's crew ate the flower and forgot about there home and lost all worries.
Cyclops
Odysseus stabs the cyclops, thus blinding him.
Island of Aeolus
Aeolus, god of the winds, gives Odysseus a bag of winds to help him get home safely. His crew disobeys orders and opens the bag.
Laestrygonians
Odysseus loses all his ships but one to the laestrygonians.
Island of Circe
Circe turns half of Odysseus's crew into pigs.
Land of the Dead
This is where Odysseus took his fairly short journey to the underworld. He sees his mother here and realizes she had died in his absence.

Receives arming about the obstacles he's about to face
Sirens
Odysseus's men put wax in their ears so they wouldn't hear the sirens and they tied Odysseus to a pole.
Scylla and Charybdis
Scylla is a six headed monster. Charybdis is a whirlpool. Odysseus looses six men here.
Sun God- Helios
Odysseus's men eat the sun gods cattle. He looses all his men here because Zeus's punishment to them was death.
Calypso's Island
Odysseus washed up here and demands that he be let go. He stays for 7 years.
Land of the Phaeacians
Odysseus is treated well by the gods and tells about his journey.
