A Casket With Jewels

  • This represents my character because of her greed and wanting to run away with her husband
  • "Here catch this casket it is worth the pains"

A Ring

  • She stole a ring from her father, which was her mother's, and exchanged it for a monkey
  • "One of them showed me a ring that he had of your daughter for a monkey." p. 47

A Ship

  • A ship represents my character because she traveled to runaway and go with Lorenzo to Belmont
  • "He came too late, the ship was under sail:...That in a gondola were seen together Lorenzo and his amorous Jessica:...They were not with Bassanio in his ship." p. 38

A Disguise

  • This item goes with my character because when she was going to run away with Lorenzo she had to disguise herself as a boy so she would not be regonized by anyone
  • "I am glad 'tis night, you do not look on me, For I am much ashamed of my exchange...To see me thus transformed to a boy." p.34
