What is a treaty?
A treaty is an agreement between two or more parties of peace or to resolve conflict.
What group of people came together to sign it?
Maori chiefs and English people who were important .
When and where was it signed?
At Waitangi in the bay or islands on February the 6th 1840.
Why do you think it's important to NZ?
Because without it most of our maori heritage would not be here because the white people would have taken over and they would have had lots of fights.
