On September 11, 2001, New York suffered a major blow.The city was the target of terrorism.Two hijacked planes were deliberately flown into the city's highest building , the twin towers of the World Trade Center.The buildings were totally destroyed.Some 2,800 people were killed.On September 11, 2011-the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks-the National September 11 Memorial and Museum was dedicated.
