1. Invasion of Iraq is viewed almost universally by the interviewed Muslim academics as a modern
Crusade.
2. Many modern Muslims in the Middle East still keep the memory of the Crusades alive.
3. The Crusades were a product of the medieval world, a world that fundamentally shaped the one we live in today
