CAT'S EARS

  • Scientific Name: Hypochaeris radicata
  • You can eat the young leaves raw or boil them, either way is safe to eat.
  • The roots can be roasted and mixed with water to make a coffee.
  • You can find them in sunny fields and can grow as a weed in your backyard.
  • These plants are filled with antioxidants that are very helpful in maintaining proper health.

HENBIT

  • Scientific Name: Lamium amplexicaule
  • They are commonly found in sunny fields during late fall and spring.
  • You can eat the leaves, stem, and flower raw or make a tea.
  • Medical benefits: anti rheumatic, diaphoretic, exciting, febrifuge, laxative, stimulant.
  • They have vitamins, iron, and antioxidants, all of which important for health.
