Muhammad himself was well educated and emphasized the significance of education. He also emphasized equality throughout the human race. Muhammad declared equality and brotherhood of man. He didn't just preach it, but he also practiced it.

Muhammad believed that every human being is equal and Thurgood Marshall fought for the equality of people in the U.S.

One could say Thurgood was an assistant of Muhammad who continued the practicing of Muhammad's teachings.
