• A stroke happens when blood flow to a part of the brain stops.
• A stroke is sometimes called a "brain attack".

• Changes in hearing
• Changes in taste
• Clumsiness
• Confusion or memory loss
• Difficulty swallowing

WHAT CAUSES A STROKE?

• High blood pressure is the main risk factor
• Diabetes
• High cholesterol
• Family history of stroke
• Increasing of age (55)

TREATMENTS

• Clot bursting drug can be administered
• This should be done 3-4 hours after symptoms
• Blood thinners (heparin, warfarin, aspirin)
• Nutrients fluids
• Special procedures or surgery
