MISSION TO MARS

WHY GO TO MARS?

• We decided Mars because it has an atmosphere like earth
• We hope to learn if Mars can support life

Parachutes
They are important because we need them to land. The parts of a parachute are strings and what's going to trap the air

Parachute tests

Our three main parachutes were fabric, plastic bags, and paper. When had dropped the fabric chute it dropped really fast. Then the parachute one was slower but still fast. But then the plastic bag caught the most air and was the slowest

If I could use any variables I wanted the thing I would want would be the big parachute/paper bag and smallest string so the paper bag could catch more air.
That would be my finale parachute

So after the tests we found out the plastic bag is the most successful parachute. We also learned that in order to land on Mars our parachute had to go slow and not fast our we would get hurt.that is how we are going to MARS.
