We know you want open lunch ASAP, but do you know how to earn it?

Lunch Expectations- the Basics

• Quiet transition TO and FROM lunch.
• Acceptable behavior during lunch.
• Effective clean up of the cafeteria.

Details Regarding the Basics...

You must walk TO and FROM lunch QUIETLY- whisper when you reach the media center- SILENT- in the main foyer.

Lunch Expectations

• Behavior matters..... A LOT.
• You must NOT throw objects of any kind- this includes food, water bottle caps....anything.
• You must NOT move around once you are seated.
• The noise level must be reasonable.

You must WAIT for a teacher to check your table and DISMISS you. Do NOT dismiss yourself. You will have a different teacher dismissing you each week- it won't always be your teacher.

Lunch Expectations

• The cafeteria MUST be left clean. CLEAN.
• What does CLEAN mean?
• CLEAN means no noticeable trash or food on the floor.
• CLEAN means nothing left behind on the lunch tables.
• CLEAN means that the lunch cleaners have an easy job, and they DO their job.

All of these pieces work together, and they must be displayed CONSISTENTLY for you to EARN open lunch.

We want you to earn open lunch!
Demonstrate that you can meet these expectations, and open lunch is yours in a few weeks.
