Don't Trust Everything you see Online

Published on Nov 22, 2022

The Digital World has a big impact on our lives, some of which are good, but some effects are also bad. Check out this presentation from a Middle School student's view of the Online World.

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Don't Trust Everything You See Online

By a middle school student

The internet is a highway

  • We keep going deeper, and deeper in, and you're going so fast, it's hard to stop.
  • We may just keep going for hours, with no end in sight.
  • We can get so involved in Digital Media, sometimes we forget to have a balance of being online and offline.

Things I do online:

  • Zoom with friends
  • Calling family
  • Video games
  • Watch TV
  • Listen to music videos
  • Do homework
  • Use Google
  • Use a metronome

Positive Impacts:

  • It's fun
  • It's informative
  • It's entertaining
  • It's interesting
  • It's a nice break from work

Negative Impacts:

  • It's addicting
  • It's not all 100% real
  • It's sometimes annoying
  • You can get hacked
  • You can get too involved

Don't trust everything online

  • Sometimes people set up clickbait, or other things that are not always trustworthy.
  • Not everything on the internet is true.

We can help by:

  • Not posting fake information
  • Checking more than 1 source when researching something
  • Not spreading rumors or things that aren't true
  • Making sure something is real before we tell other people

After you see this, I hope you will feel the need to follow what it says:
Don't trust everything online, and help the digital community become a better place.
