The breed originated in Snohomish Washington
Kinder goats decent from a Pygmy buck and a Nubian doe.
The breed became popular when a group of people fell in love with the kinders and made the KGBA (kinder goat breeding association.)
PHENOTYPIC TRAITS:
THEY HAVE FLOPPY EARS, A SLIGHTLY DISHED FACE, THEY ARE USUALLY POLLED, AND CAN COM IN ANY SELECTION OF COLORS.
GENOTYPIC TRAITS:
- Doe: 110-125lb in weight
- Buck: 135-150lb
- Doe: 26in max in height
- Buck: 28in max
Facts:
The kinder goat has a very well toned body with strong muscles and bones.
They do very well in both hot and cold climates and since they're small they are easy to house and manage.
The kinder goat was bred and used for milk, meat, and as a pet.
