BIOGRAPHY
James Madison was born in 1751 in Orange County, Virginia where he was the oldest of 12 children.
He grew up in a wealthy family that owned a 3,000 acre plantation with many slaves.
He suffered with illness for most of his life due to his frail physique.

He was best friends with Thomas Jefferson
They shared many ideas and went on to serve as his Vice President.
They both shared a passion for colonial independence.

He was more of a writer than a fighter
He wrote many political documents such as the Bill of Rights and the Constitution where he incorporated a large government with three branches.
He also served in Congress.

Madison ran for President in 1808 where he defeated Charles Pinckney.
He won the war of 1812
He died June 28, 1836

POLITICAL VEIWS
Madison believed in a large government which he outlined in the constitution.
He was believer in religious freedom.
And wished to end slavery in America.

ECONOMIC VEIWS
Madison encouraged trade with France and many other European countries.
The war of 1812 encouraged Madison to open up another national bank.
He continued Jeffersons policies in expanding the United States territory.

LEGACY
James Madison will forever be known for creating the document that made America the greatest nation the world has ever seen.
He help to defeat the British Empire when they threatened American Independence for the second time.
Even though he was small, he was one of the greatest men who ever lived.

IS THIS ME ?
I don't know if this is me.
I would like to say it is due to how great he is.
But I feel I am more of a soldier than a scholar which was the opposite of Madison.
