Trust

Not a great deal of importance happens without trust. When trust is present, truly great things can and do happen.

Compassion

Compassion is recognising the person behind the number.

Courage

Courage isn't always about facing great danger. It can be stretching yourself to see what lies beyond your known world.

Grace

If a 'value' it something that helps you decide what is right and what is wrong, what is appropriate and what is not appropriate, then grace may not qualify for you. For me there is beauty, humility and generosity all captured in one word.

Freedom

Freedom is as much a state of mind as a physical reality: ask those who have been imprisoned or taken hostage. Fear is a prison.

Justice

Justice and fairness are often confused. The presence of 'justice' is an invitation to behave according to socially acceptable norms. Those norms change and so does 'justice'.

Courtesy

Pointing is discourteous in so many cultures.

Respect for Nature

Being aware of the consequences of our lifestyle choices and how the bad ones will always come back to haunt us.

Appreciation

Reciprocity

The bird eats the ticks and keeps the ticks from irritating the elephant.

Reciprocity: behaviour in which two people or groups of people give each other help and advantages.
