PRESENTATION OUTLINE

DAY 1: TRAVELING

  • We are getting there by plane
  • We are leaving from St. Louis and landing in London, England
  • We are taking British Airways
  • $35,448 for both of us.
  • 19 hours 45 minutes, we will leave from St.louis at 5:00am and we will land around 6:45am.
  • We are staying at Corinthia Hotel London, it's a 5 star hotel.

DAY 2: LONDON, ENGLAND

  • Big Ben is 156 years old
  • Big Ben is 316 feet tall
  • It started when the Palace of Westminister was destroyed by a fire in 1834. When they started to rebuild it in 1844, they wanted to add a tower and a clock. Their first attempt failed, resulting in a crack in the Bell.
  • Big Ben was connected to the Palace of Westminster, they wanted something to compare and make the palace better. So, they formed the Great Bell, which makes it a great tourist site for people. Over years, people called it Big Ben.

THE CHUNNEL

  • The Chunnel isn't just one tunnel, there is three.
  • Two for the trains, one for the service and emergency route.
  • The price of the train is $858 for two passengers.
  • It takes about 2 hours and 25 minutes.
  • The Chunnel is 31.4 Miles, it being the eleventh longest tunnel.
  • The project cost about 4.65 Billion Euros. In American dollars, it's 4.92 billion dollars.

DAY 3: PARIS, FRANCE

  • The Eiffel Tower is 984 feet tall.
  • It was constructed to show respect to the French Revolution, and use it for tourist attractions. Also enjoyment for the people in France.
  • It served as the entrance of the worlds fair the first year it was built.

THE LOUVRE

  • It is the biggest museum in the world.
  • If you wanted to see everything it would take about 75 days.
  • some of the most famous things there are the Mona Lisa, and the great Sphinx of tanis.

DAY 4: ROME, ITALY

  • The colosseum was build in 70 A.D.
  • The emperor Vespasian and his son had it built.
  • They had it built for gladiator fights, and they even pout animals in there with them.
  • 400 years later of use some of the colosseum had been destroyed.
  • The south side of the colosseum was destroyed by a earthquake.
  • We will be staying at Hotel Raphael-Relais & chateaux and it will cost $636.

DAY 5 MADRID, SPAIN

  • Madrid has been the capital of Spain since the 17th century.
  • Madrid has the oldest restaurant still running in the world
  • When the clock strikes 12 on New Years Day, everyone in Spain eats 12 grapes for good luck
  • Madrid is the most visited city in Spain
  • It's Spain's biggest city
  • We will be staying at Hotel Ritz and it will cost $536

DAY 6: AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS

  • Amsterdam has 20 million visitors per year.
  • There are 75 museums in Amsterdam.
  • Most of its land area is below sea level.
  • There are more bikes than people in Amsterdam.
  • It was originally a fishing village
  • We will be staying at Grand Hotel Amrâth it will cost $404

DAY 7: FLORENCE, ITALY

  • Nearly a third of the worlds art treasures are in florence
  • It was the first city in Europe to have paved streets
  • It attracts 10 million visitors per year
  • Florence is best known for leather and gold
  • There are more visitors than residents in Florence
  • We will be staying at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, and it will cost $342

DAY 8: PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC

  • It is the largest city in the Czech Republic
  • The largest castle in the world is in Prague
  • There are no area codes in Prague, or the Czech Republic
  • It is divided into ten districts.
  • There is tons of architecture in Prague
  • We will be staying at Grand Hotel Bohemia, and it will cost $742.

DAY 10: BARCELONA, SPAIN

  • We will be going to Camp Nou, the Football field for the professional team FC Barcelona
  • The motto of the field is "mès que un club" which mean "more than a club"
  • It was built in 1954
  • They played their first match in 1957
  • The stadium holds the record for the largest stadium based on seating
  • The stadium has exactly 99,354 seats
  • The hotel we will be staying at is Hotel Catalonia Sagrada familia, it will cost $475

DAY 11: BERLIN, GERMANY

  • We will be seeing the Berlin Wall, they started the construction on it in August, 1961.
  • It was built to block West Berlin out because they were democratic
  • The opened the doors in November, 1989
  • The destruction started in 1990 and ended in 1992
  • The wall was 10 feet 11 inches.
  • We will be staying at Grand Hyatt Berlin, and it will cost $592

DAY 12: GOING HOME

  • We will be leaving from Berlin, Germany and will land in St. Louis
  • It will take about 25 hours, and, it will cost $972
  • We will leave Berlin at 11:20pm, and arrive in STL at 3:27pm
