MOTHER TERESA BIOGRAPHY

  • Baptized on August 27, 1910, in Skopje, Macedonia,
  • Mother Teresa taught in India for 17 years before she experienced her 1946 "call within a call" to devote herself to caring for the sick and poor.
  • Born 29 August 1910
  • Catholic nun and missionary
  • Attended a convent run primary school
  • She as a child sung in a scared heart choir
  • When she was 18-years-old, she decided to become a nun and went Ireland to join the Sisters of Loreto in Dublin
