MAA Unit Work

• Homework at Maya Angelou Academy is called Unit Work
• There will be at least one assignment per week from EVERY class

Independent Work

• Each lesson will have 10-15 minutes of independent work
• It is expected that all scholars attending MAA participate in classwork to their best ability

Grade Scale

MAA Grade Scale:

• 40% of your grade=Classwork
• 20% of your grade=Quizzes (Formative assessments)
• 20% of your grade=Tests/Projects (Summative assessments)
• 10% of your grade=Participation (PR points)
• 10% of your grade=Unit work (Daily/Weekly homework)
