Free speech means that congress cannot create laws restricting religion or freedom of activity.
Free speech is the foundation of our democracy. Without it, our other rights, like the right to vote, would disappear.
Although the US is an accepting country, every states can have a different effect on a forgeinger which will determine their comfort level.
