PHOENIX
THE PHOENIX IS MYTH OF THE FIRE BIRD.
IN GREEK MYTHOLOGY A PHOENIX IS A LONG LIVED BIRD THAT CYCLICALLY REGENERATED OR REBORN.
THE PHOENIX GETS REBORN BY ARISING FROM THE ASHES OF IT’S PREDECESSOR.
IT COULD TAKE 1,400 YEARS UNTIL THE PHOENIX’S REBIRTH.
THERE HAVE ALSO BEEN A LOT OF MYTHS ABOUT THE PHOENIX AND THUNDERBIRD FIGHTING.
Thunderbird is the exact opposite of the Phoenix. The thunderbird is supposed to be based off of rain and thunder (obviously).The Phoenix is based off fire and sun.

I PICKED THE PHOENIX BECAUSE I LOVE FIRE.
THAT IS WHY MY FAVORITE THING TO DO AT NEW YEARS EVE IS LIGHT FIREWORKS.

The legendary phoenix is a large, grand bird, much like an eagle or peacock. It is brilliantly coloured in reds, purples, and yellows, as it is associated with the rising sun and fire. Sometimes a nimbus will surround it, illuminating it in the sky.
There are many images of the Phoenix but the original is the one on the next slide.

EVEN THOUGH THE PHOENIX IS IMMORTAL IT CAN BE KILLED
IT CAN BE KILLED BY THE COLT OR IRON.

The Phoenix can take the form of a man just like on X-men but is usually in the form of a bird. When the Phoenix is in the shape of a man it could turn anything to ash with a single touch.
FUN FACTS
- Another name for the Phoenix is Arabian Bird.
- It was said to live in a desert for 5 to 6 centuries.
- A variation of the myth stated that the phoenix burnt itself on the altar of the temple of Helios
