HOW FUNGI OBTAIN FOOD

  • Fungi eat other organisms to obtain energy
  • They eat living and nonliving organisms
  • They obtain food through decomposition
  • Fungi gets nutrients by decomposing organisms

STRUCTURE OF FUNGI

  • Made up of branching, colorless threads called hyphae
  • Hyphae contains walls, called septa, which divide them into separate cells
  • When dense, hyphae is known as mycelium
