I chose to do an amusement park because I had some good ideas for what the organelles in cell world could be. I've also always wanted to creat my own amusement park, and knw I can do it for a grade!

Mr. Cell is just like the nucleus in a real cell. Both the nucleus and Mr. Cell control things. Mr. Cell is the owner of cell world so he is the boss and controls what goes on in cell world. In a cell the nucleus is the boss and tells all the other organelles in the cell what to do.

Our fence and border patrol are similar to a cells membrane. The guards at cell world make sure that the good things are allowed in but anything that can harm cell world, or its visitors, stays out. This is similar to a cell membrane because the cell membrane lets what the cell needs inside but protects it from its outside environment.

The mail room is like the Golgi bodies because it synthesizes, packages, and than sends out materials to cell world and other parts of the world. This is like the Golgi bodies because when the Golgi bodies receives protein from the endoplasmic reticulum it synthesizes, packages, secretes, the proteins and than ships it off to other parts of the cell.

The wave pool in cell world is like the vacuole in a cell. The real vacuole is a sac filled with water and other things the cell needs. At our wave pool we have a deep end, and a shallow end for kids of all ages. That stores a lot of water! Also the wave pool is a safe place for your kids when the adults need some relaxation time. We also have a first class snack bar when food is needed just like how the vacuole stores food. I'm not going into the vacuole waste system because that would make cell world look bad!

The trams in cell world act just as the Endoplasmic Reticulum in a cell does. The ER. is a maze of passageways that transport proteins, made by the ribosomes, throughout the cell. In our park the trolleys will transport YOU to all different parts of the amusement park. There is also another Endoplasmic Reticulum in our park. They're called your feet!

Our (Scream Machine) acts as our parks mitochondria. In the cell the mitochondria takes broken down food and proteins and converts them into energy. Instead of food and proteins the scream machine converts your screams into energy. We also have a number of solar panels to produce energy. So have fun on our rides, and get energetic!

The game section is the parks Lysosomes. The organelle in the cell called the Lysosome breaks down food that is too large coming into the cell and destroys damaged and old cell parts. They break down anything that needs breaking down in the cell. Our game stands do the same to your wallet! You step up to our game stands and they immediately start to break down and lighten your wallet, as if it were a damaged cell part.

The food court is the ribosomes of cell world. In the cell ribosomes produce protein. Without protein the cell wouldn't be able to function. As heterotrophs we get our energy by eating. Eating also gives us protein. Therefor restaurants produce the protein we need to live. So the ribosomes produce protein and so do our food courts. So stop be any one of the ribosome courts!

Our hotel is named after the gel like fluid in a cell. The cytoplasm is a watery gel like fluid that contains all of the cells organelles inside of it. Our hotel does just this, except that the organelles are you and your belongings. While actual cytoplasm is holding organelles safely inside the membrane, the cytoplasm hotel will be safely holding all of your belongings for the stay. This gives you a worry free environment for your stuff while you enjoy the day!
