• Ares has massive strength being the god of war and murder

THE HISTORY OF ARES

• Son of Zeus and Hera
• Both parents dislike Ares because it is told that Ares will overthrow Zeus as Zeus did to his father
• Zeus and Hera called Ares "bloody Ares" or "raging Ares" for his fierce violent temper
• Ares loved violent wars, he loved the chariots, spears, helmets, and battle cries
• He often came down from the heavens to fight in the war and men fighting in the war would give way for him
• His greatest enemy was himself and Athena because Athena would use her wisdom and intelligence in battle while Ares wouldn't think going into battle in rage
