5 Persuasive Techniques that you must use in your persuasive essay
I bet that you have seen loads of blogs like this one that offers you techniques and all.
But the thing is, I can offer you some genuine insights into essay writing. How? Easy. I was once a student, and then I used every tool in my arsenal to better my writing.
Now, I can write as well as anyone, and I am willing to share my techniques with you. You won’t ever have to ask anyone, “Will you write paper for me ?” or beg anyone to help you along the way. Nope! You are going to be a pro now.
And these are techniques you will be using.
Technique #1: Repetition
This is one solid and professional technique. Truly. In a persuasive essay, you can use repetition to drive your point home. Have you ever heard that if you keep repeating a point, eventually, people will believe it?
Yeah!
It’s a psychological trick, and it works.
Just do not overdo it. That would ruin its effect.
Technique #2: Providing Reasons
Since you are trying to persuade your audience, you will have to give reasons as well.
You can’t just say that sharks don’t kill that many humans. You will have to give a reason as to why you think that way.
You can point out that a study was conducted on this subject, and it found out that sharks don’t kill THAT many humans.
Technique #3: Remain Consistent
The thing is that consistency is associated with rationality and integrity, as well.
So, if your arguments are inconsistent, then your audience will NOT believe you.
If you are contradicting yourself, then your audience will not believe you. And if you lack form and structure, then your audience will not believe you.
But, if you are consistent well, then you will be able to make your point.
Technique #4: Proof
This is not the same as providing a reason. A reason tells the audience why you think the way you do.
A proof is tangible evidence of you being right.
The best thing to do in these types of essays is to use social proof—testimonies and stories from the lives of real people.
Technique #5: Draw Comparisons
Find something that the audience already knows to be true. Or something that they relate to.
Then relate your own point with whatever it is they believe to be true. This is one of those techniques that is used by an paper writing service or online essay writer. How do I know this? Well…
I used these services to improve my writing.
Technique #6: Address Any Objection
I am sure that your audience will have plenty of them. So, form a paragraph at the end of your essay (before the conclusion, though) and use it to address your opposition.
Mention their points. Then refute them.
Simple. Show your audience that they are wrong, and you were right all along.
Technique #7: Unify the Audience
We all want to belong. Even the most aloof of humans want to belong to a group.
You can use this to persuade your audience of your perspective. Show them that the world believes in your perspective.
Show them, for example, that believe in gun control laws. Cite a survey or something.
Show them that they can become a part of a group of like-minded people, and they will believe you.
So, aren’t these techniques different?
I bet they are!
Now, if you are thinking of those writing services I mentioned earlier, then I will tell you to try them out.
If your writing isn’t that great, then they will help you improve it. They were created to help out students, after all.
So, go find yourself a nice website to get essays written online.
