The chemical 4-methylimidazole found in soda's caramel coloring has been prove to increase the risk of cancer. A typical can of cola contains 32 times more 4-methylimidazole than is needed to increase cancer risks.
Colas can contain phosphate or phosphoric acid. To much phosphate in your body can cause accelerated aging.
Sugar in soda combined with bacteria in your mouth makes acid that attacks teeth. A multitude of these attacks weakens tooth enamel.

In conclusion I have learned that soda does not just have harmful effects on you that are visible, but that it also has many effects that are not visible. Next time I decide I want a soda I will think about all the bad health effects. If I do end up drinking a soda I will know know that I should brush my teeth to get rid of the acid and work out to burn off the calories. Next time I drink a soda I will be prepared to keep myself healthy.
