Devices I Caught in the Bible.

• Simile: Proverbs- "Like vinegar to teeth, and smoke to the eyes..."
• Symbolism: Revelation- Beast symbolizes the Roman government and its leader.
• Personification: Proverbs- Wisdom is looked at as a woman calling out to the people in need.

• THE BIBLE IS USUALLY BLACK AND WHITE. DIVIDED INTO 1-3 columns.

Muslim Creations.

• God created the world and heavens.
• God said "Be," and there it is.
• God asked the angels to go to Earth, to get 7 different soils.
• He modeled a man, and breathed life into it, and there was Adam.
• Eve was created out of Adam's side. God taught Adam the names of the creatures.

• Metaphor: "We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust."
• Metaphor: "Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did .. when I was young.”
• Analogy: "And cushions set in rows. And rich carpets spread out."
• Analogy: "...treat not the orphan with oppression. And repulse not the beggar."

• Instructions, History, and People.
• Codes, Commandments, and Laws.
• Ideas, Meanings, and Moral Ideas.

Qur'an

• Qur'an is divided into 7 parts, because there is 7 is days in the week.
• Each chapter starts with "Bismillahir rahmanir raheem" which means "In the Name of Allah, the most merciful and the most kind."
• The Qur'an has color.
• Qur'an has 114 chapter, written in old Arabic language.
