NUBIA AND EGYPT

Egypt is located on the Nile and below the Mediterranean Sea.

Nubia is located lower on the Nile by the third *Cataract.

EGYPT'S TRANSPORTATION

• They had more access to the nile.
• They were also used the meditteraneann sea.
• Trade was easier for them.

NUBIA'S TRANSPORTATION

• They had less access to the Nile
• No use of the Mediterranean sea
• Trade was not as easily done for them

RELATIONSHIP

• Egypt thought Nubia would threaten upper Egypt
• They also thought they wanted all their gold and land
• Nubia wanted to protect their independence
• They thought they could control trade down the Nile.

For both societies it was patriarchal, and because of this the woman had less say and control of anything

EGYPT'S RELIGION

• Polytheists
• Pharoahs
• Mummifying
• Pyramids

NUBIA'S RELIGION

• Also were polytheists
• Also built small pyramids
• But they didn't believe in mummifying

The system of writing for the societies were also similar, the Egyptians used hieroglyphics.
Nubia used hieroglyphics first and then developed the Meriotic language.
