Thomas Gallaudet (1822–1902)

Gallaudet open the frist deaf school in the US year 1817. He is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

At Europe, Gallaudet travels there to learn how to teach deaf children. Then he went back to America with a Deaf teacher to set up first deaf school for children. Today, there a statue of him at the Gallaudet Univeristy in honor for his involvement in Deaf community.

First I learned about Gallaudet from a deaf friend who went to Gallaudet University. Then I research about him by using internet and books.
