Ways to Reduce

• Turn off the lights when not using them
• Don't run the water while brushing your teeth
• Use an item for another purpose instead of throwing it away
• Purchase items with smaller packaging
• When possible, walk instead of taking a vehicle to reduce vehicle emissions

REUSE

Ways to Reuse

• Fill a plastic bottle with water instead of buying bottled water
• Use glass or plastic food containers to store office or craft supplies
• Take plastic grocery bags to the store instead of getting new bags each shopping trip
• Cut apart Christmas cards to make gift tags for presents
