• Wudu (washing) before praying
• Clean location for prayers

ZAKAT

• Purification (wealth)
• 2.5% surplus wealth (more is better)
• Donate directly or to official
• Soup kitchens, shelter, orphanages, hospitals
• Provide to people in need

SAWM

• No eating, drinking, smoking, or talking bad about others
• Teaches equality and generosity
• Not everyone fasts (sick, elder, young, or pregnant)
• Celebrate with party called Eid
• Fasting for the whole month

• Pray/camp at Mt. Arafat
• Circle Kaa’ba counterclockwise 7 times
• Throw stones at pillar representing Satan
• Run between 2 hills and drink from Zamzam Eid
• Men shave head, women get haircuts
