This was a war that started in 1950 but ended in 1953. This was a war between South Korea who was non-communist and North Korea that was full communist. The U.S supported South Korea and USSR&China helped North Korea.
This was like a top secret operation (military, economic or political) that was supported by the government. This was created to support foreign objectives.
I think that the Vietnam war had the biggest effect during the cold war because it lasted more than twenty years which means that we lost a lot of lives and soldiers. More than half a million americans were serving in Vietnam. Also in the mix the U.S was supporting South Vietnam while the USSR and China were supporting North Vietnam which did create more tension between those nations. The U.S used the Domino Theroy as well when they said if they could fight North Vietnam and win the rest of the communist nations would fall as well. Even though the U.S had to start pulling troops out of vietnam by the 1970's it was a long war. When the U.S left South Vietnam, they lost to North Vietnam three years later.
