Transparent, Translucent, & Opaque

Transparent

• Something that is transparent allows enough light to pass through so that objects on the other side can easily be seen

Translucent

• Something that allows some scattered light to pass through so that objects on the other side can be partially seen.

Opaque

• Something that does not allow any light to pass through so that the objects on the other side can not be seen.

Scavenger Hunt

• You will travel around the room using a light source to conclude whether something is translucent, transparent, or opaque
• Add the name of the object to the corresponding column on your notes.
